Our Story

Why We Built ScannerTZ

ScannerTZ was born out of a simple frustration — finding accurate, real-time financial market data relevant to Tanzania was unnecessarily difficult. Most global platforms showed prices in USD with no local context, leaving Tanzanian traders and investors in the dark.

We set out to change that. Our platform pulls live exchange rates directly from Tanzanian banks, converts global commodity and cryptocurrency prices into Tanzanian Shillings (TZS), and presents institutional-grade analysis in a clean, accessible way.

Today ScannerTZ offers live FX comparison across 7 banks, advanced econometric analysis using Diebold-Yilmaz connectedness and Baur-Lucey Safe Haven methodology, weekly market reports, expert insights and much more — all free, all built for East Africa.
